Kinesiology? What is It?

Kinesiology is a holistic form of complementary therapy that combines Western and Eastern wisdom, to promote physical, emotional, mental and spiritual health. It helps identify elements inviting the natural integral energies of the body and assists by counteracting the imbalance.


Our body naturally works to keep us in balance. Our lifestyle choices, personal experience, unconscious patterns and response to the outside world can keep us out of balance. The reasons can be complex or simple. It may relate to stress, injury, pain, nutritional deficiencies, and many other reasons, preventing you from feeling or being your very best. Holistic Kinesiology uses the body's response, through muscle-testing (bio-feedback) to explore the reasons for the underlying imbalance and help restore and 'correct' it, using non-invasive techniques.


What's involved?

A session may comprise of a variety of natural therapies and techniques. Such as, Acupressure, Meridians, Sound, Colour, Neuro-vascular/lymphatic reflexes, Brain integration, Essential Oils, Intuitive Energy Healing. It's non-invasive, natural, pain free and can be used on adults, children, animals.


The approach

The approach is shaped from a truly holistic perspective. That our emotions, thoughts, moods, and mindset impacts our energetic system. 


Chinese medicine recognises the Five Elements and that our primary emotions are associated with a pair of organs in the body that are linked to one of the five elements: Fire [Heart, Small Intestine, Pericardium, San Jiao], Earth [Spleen, Stomach], Metal [Lung, Large Intestine], Water [Kidney, Bladder], Wood [Liver Gall Bladder].


You may notice that your emotions can change and transform. Similar to the shifts of the elements.

  • Fire - Passion, Love, Rage, Expression, Open to others, Hurt, Intimacy, Sadness, Lack of joy
  • Earth - Worry, Confidence, Sympathy, Doubt, Needy, Purpose, Thinking
  • Metal - Grief, Value, Respected, Longing, Guilt, Courage, Separation, Letting Go
  • Water - Fear, Safety, Peace, Anxiety, Will, Disconnected, Trust, Alone
  • Wood - Anger, Kindness, Rejection, Stuck, Assertiveness, Indecision


If there is excess of an emotion it can cause di-ease. The interconnectedness of the elements means that if one is out of balance it can cause disharmony to the other(s). This traditional framework helps to explore what is going on for the person and underlying their situation.


Awareness from a session helps bring focus on what’s important; what you want or need and steps to get there. When a person opens to the opportunity of positive change it allows their energy (Qi) to flow, and then the soul regains it's wings.

An initial consultation establishes what you'd like to achieve from the session. Muscles testing helps to identify the imbalances and techniques needed, to clear emotions and bring awareness, energy, flow and balance. How does it work?

What's involved

Sessions

In our first session we will go over the intake form you will have filled in prior to your appointment.


Sessions are tailored specifically for you. We will discuss what you want for your life, what may be holding you back and any concerns you have. 


We set an intention or goal for you to align to and support the release of blocks or imbalances. I then help you understand the patterns and driving forces that may be underlying and preventing you to be more connected to your intention or goal and attain ease.


I use muscle-monitoring to identify the imbalances and techniques needed.

How many session should I have?

Some clients feel calmer, relaxed and have better focus and can have great results with one session.


I recommend a minimum of 3 sessions to sustain the results and get the most benefits. It helps to uncover all the layers and heal from a deeper place. 


  • Your first 3 sessions are best within 2 months.
  • Regular client sessions can be as often as needed, either online or in-person
  • Ongoing client sessions are best every 4 to 8 weeks.


The sessions can be spaced out to give you the opportunity to work on your own healing in between.
